Merit Solutions is now licensed to administer personality assessments for selection applicants using the PAPI (Personality and Preference Inventory), and to brief the panel in relation to results.

PAPI is an internationally recognised profiling tool which is used extensively around the world and available on line in 25 languages. Originally developed in the USA in the 1960's, PAPI is now owned, developed and marketed by Cubiks Group Limited. Private sector clients include KPMG, Schneider Electric, Xerox and DHL. After extensive investigation of alternative options, Merit Solutions recently acquired a licence to offer PAPI and related products in Australia.

PAPI is an online assessment tool that takes around 20 minutes to complete and can provide good insights into an applicant’s typical behaviours at work and how they are likely to fit into a role, the team and the organization as a whole.

The assessment scale is structured around seven factors:
Active Dominance (Leadership), Contentious Persistence (Approach to Work), Openness to Experience (Thinking, Change, Task Focus), Sociability (Relationships at work), Work Pace, Agreeableness (Temperament), and Seeking to Achieve (Achievement Orientation).

PAPI has been used in executive recruitment in the State Government sector and is a useful inclusion at this level with very individualised reporting and feedback provided.
