Anne joined Merit Solutions in 2008 after 18 years in a variety of roles in the Australian Tax 
Office. These roles included experience in managing both small and large groups in the client 
service and debt collection environments. She has managed a range of complex HR issues, 
many small and large-scale recruitment processes and a number of projects.  Anne also currently 
works as a Regional Adviser for the Australian Public Service Commission providing selection 
advice and support to a number of Commonwealth agencies.


Selection Skills:	

Anne has experience in managing and supporting a broad range of recruitment processes from 
small selections for one position, through to large scale national processes covering up to three 
hundred vacancies at three different levels in seven locations.  She has considerable experience 
in providing advice and support to delegates and panels in developing the assessment 
guidelines and benchmarks; shortlisting; interviews; report writing and post selection feedback.  
Anne has also managed contract relationships with large recruitment agencies. In this role she 
has worked with their professional staff on the design and delivery of both small and large-scale 
recruitment processes to provide assurance that the methodology used complies with the 
legislative requirements of the Australian Public Service.

Anne has also managed a number of different projects that explored the design and 
development of selection processes that would deliver staff with the best mix of skills, 
experience and personal qualities for positions in the areas of technical writing, client service and 
debt collection. 


Other Achievements:

Anne has delivered many public information sessions on elements of the Australian tax system 
to high school students, special interest groups and international delegations.  She is 
experienced in providing training for team leaders in the practical application of sound 
management policies and practices.  Anne has played a leadership role in developing and 
implementing a number of change management initiatives that have required working closely 
with executive and senior management, information technology experts, tax technical experts 
and operational teams.
